The “Software products & services sales: from art to the process” workshop will take place during the CEE-SECR conference. It will be instructed by specialists of RIS Ventures with the support of venture fund ABRT, Russian Venture Company and the Russian representative of Microsoft. This training is intended for professionals interested in creating and bringing to the market new products, as well as increasing and systematization of the sales. The training will be useful for project managers, sales and marketing professionals, product managers.

The program of the seventh Eastern-European Software Engineering Conference CEE-SECR 2011 is now available online: http://2011.secrus.org/program/agenda

The conference includes almost 100 events: 76 presentations, 4 plenary sessions, 4 round tables, 3 workshops and Banks conference, which will be held on October 31, as part of CEE-SECR 2011.

Keynote lectures at CEE-SECR 2011 will be delivered by Jeff Sutherland (SCRUM Foundation); Bertrand Meyer (ETH); Yuri Karpov (SPBSPU) and Serguei Beloussov (Runa Capital).

The Program Committee has finished reviewing all papers for the CEE-SECR 2011. The contest has attracted 140 articles from 24 countries worldwide, 40% of them were accepted as the regular presentations and 9% as the poster ones. 30 minutes is allocated for each regular presentation, which include time for discussion. Speakers (the authors of the accepted papers presenting at the conference) will get free passes to the event. The authors whose reports were not included into the program will get discounted prices for registration. The Program Committee of CEE-SECR 2011: Banks (http://2011.secrus.org/banks) has announced that it is now accepting submissions. The conference will be held as part of CEE-SECR 2011.

Papers are being sought on the following topics:

• Cloud / Virtualization: implementing successful solutions in the financial sector
• Remote client service via mobile devices
• Challenges in building an effective IT platform for retail business
• Mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector: complex IT integration
• Enterprise service bus in banks. Unified data exchange and the standardization of services

CEE-SECR Gains Growing Support

The 7th annual Central and Eastern European Software Engineering Conference in Russia (CEE-SECR 2011) has secured the support of two leading Russian software development companies, Luxoft and First Line software. Both companies have agreed to become sponsors of the 2011 conference for the first time.

Luxoft specialists have participated in previous conferences both as speakers and as moderators of various seminars and expert panels. Preliminary program for CEE-SECR 2011 is published

Conference program (2011.secrus.org/program) includes such topics as: cloud computing, Agile methodologies, software engineering for mobile devices, new programming languages including domain-specific, software engineering for social networks, software reliability, education and others. Both submitted and expected papers were taken into account, as well as IT community’s interest and demand.

The program committee has decided that this year’s panel discussions, round tables, and classic keynote talks will be consolidated into thematic units. This format will allow participants to discuss most interesting questions more deeply.
The program will be updated as soon as the program committee will approve the submitted papers and will take the final shape in September.
