How to save cats: zero iteration in Agile

Download presentation

There is an iteration zero in the Scrum methodology.

Many people use this term, but hardly anyone can give a precise definition of it. Many question the very need for it (http://www.infoq.com/news/2011/06/avoid-iteration-zero), and some see it as an iteration for the infrastructure tasks. Some believe that the iteration zero is designed for the team creation and training, for delivering the vision about the product or gathering initial requirements.

For us, the iteration zero is the time for teams, businesses and stakeholders to get together in order to explore the product they intend to create.

In this talk I will present our experience with the zero iterations in teams. I will talk about the practices that will help to start the team effectively, and discuss how to involve stakeholders in collaboration with the team from the very beginning of the project.
